ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is looking to compare the effectiveness of two supplements, magnesium and melatonin, in helping young adults who struggle with primary insomnia, which is difficulty falling asleep, staying asleep, or feeling rested after sleep. Unlike many studies that focus on older adults or those with other health issues, this trial specifically targets healthy young adults aged 18 to 40. Researchers want to understand which of these two options works better for improving sleep quality in this age group.
To be eligible to participate, individuals must be between 18 and 40 years old and experiencing significant sleep problems at least three times a week for over a month, despite having the chance to sleep. Participants should not have insomnia caused by other health issues or mental health conditions, and they should not be currently using sleep medications. Those who join the trial can expect to receive either magnesium or melatonin to see how well it helps with their sleep difficulties. This study aims to provide valuable insights into effective sleep treatments for young adults.
