ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is comparing two different methods for treating small growths called pedunculated colorectal polyps, which are less than 10mm in size. The two treatments being studied are underwater endoscopic mucosal resection (UEMR) and hot snare polypectomy (HSP). Both methods aim to safely and effectively remove these polyps during a colonoscopy, which is a procedure that allows doctors to look inside the colon.
To participate in this study, individuals need to be between 35 and 80 years old and have specific types of polyps that meet certain criteria. They must also be able to understand and sign a consent form. However, some people won't be eligible, including those with certain medical conditions, serious diseases, or who are pregnant or breastfeeding. If you join this trial, you can expect to undergo one of the two treatment methods and be monitored for safety and effectiveness. Remember, this study is still in the planning stage, and researchers have not yet started recruiting participants.
