ClinConnect Summary

This clinical trial, titled "A Protocol to Promote Critical Consumption," is designed to help primary school children in Lima, Peru, think more critically about their consumption of yogurt. The study will involve around 240 fourth-grade students and their teachers, who will be split into two groups: one that will participate in a special educational program about yogurt and another that will not. The goal is to see if this program can help children develop a more thoughtful attitude towards what they eat.

To be eligible for this trial, children must be in fourth grade and have both their parents' permission and their own agreement to participate. They also need to show that they have normal intelligence based on a simple test. Schools must agree to allow the program in their classrooms and get consent from their teachers. If a child is not in fourth grade, has a mental disorder, or is struggling academically, they will not be able to take part in this study. Participants can expect to learn more about yogurt and its effects, and the study will help researchers understand how to promote better eating habits in children.
