ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying a new questionnaire designed to help identify children who may have a condition called cortical visual impairment (CVI). CVI affects how the brain processes visual information, which can lead to challenges with recognizing objects, coordinating movements, or understanding space. Unfortunately, many children with CVI are not diagnosed properly, especially in French-speaking areas. The goal of this study is to validate a questionnaire that parents can fill out online to help screen for signs of CVI in their children aged 3 to 12.
Parents of children in this age range who speak French may be eligible to participate. They will be asked to complete the questionnaire, which will be given to two groups: those whose children show no developmental issues and those whose children have been identified by specialists as having potential signs of CVI. By comparing the responses from both groups, researchers hope to refine the questionnaire and improve the diagnosis process for CVI. Participating in this study could help raise awareness of this condition and improve support for affected children and their families.
