ClinConnect Summary

The QUESAM study is a clinical trial aimed at helping doctors identify spondylo-arthritis in patients who have inflammatory bowel disease, such as Crohn's disease or ulcerative colitis. Researchers will translate two specific questionnaires from English to French, and then check to ensure that the translations are accurate. These questionnaires are tools that help determine whether someone might benefit from seeing a specialist for joint-related issues. Participants will be asked to fill out these questionnaires twice: once during a consultation and again after one month.

To be eligible for this study, participants need to have a diagnosis of inflammatory bowel disease confirmed by a gastroenterologist. There are no major exclusions, but individuals who have trouble understanding or reading French, those without social security coverage, or those who do not wish to participate voluntarily will not be included. Since the study is not yet recruiting, this is an opportunity for patients to contribute to important research that may improve care for those with related conditions.
