ClinConnect Summary

This clinical trial is studying the use of a medication called pentoxifylline to help reduce inflammation in patients with rheumatoid arthritis (RA). RA is a long-lasting condition that causes pain, swelling, and stiffness in the joints, making it hard to move. The trial aims to see if pentoxifylline can improve symptoms for people who are currently experiencing active RA and are already receiving traditional treatments.

To be eligible for this trial, participants need to be between 18 and 70 years old and have active rheumatoid arthritis, which means their condition is not in remission. They must also be taking standard treatments for RA. However, individuals with certain health issues, such as severe eye or brain problems, kidney or liver dysfunction, or those who are pregnant or breastfeeding, cannot participate. Those who join the trial will be monitored closely and may experience different effects from the medication being tested. This study is still in the early stages and has not started recruiting participants yet.
