ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial, called "Cooling Solutions for Outdoor Workers," is looking at ways to help outdoor workers stay cool and safe in hot weather. The researchers want to find out if two different cooling methods can help lower body temperature and improve comfort for people who work outside. This study is not yet recruiting participants, but it aims to include adults aged 18 and older who will be working in the same job during the trial and can speak either English or Spanish.
If you decide to participate, you will receive one of the cooling methods being tested, and you’ll be monitored to see how well it works. However, not everyone can join the study. For instance, you cannot participate if you weigh less than 40 kg (about 88 pounds), have certain health issues like gastrointestinal disorders, or if you are pregnant. It's important that you can provide informed consent, meaning you understand what the study involves and agree to participate. This trial hopes to find effective ways to help outdoor workers stay safe and healthy in the heat.
