ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying how virtual reality (VR) technology can help manage anxiety and discomfort during digestive endoscopy procedures. Endoscopy is a medical procedure used to examine the digestive system, and it can sometimes make patients feel anxious or uncomfortable, especially when local or general anesthesia is involved. The researchers believe that using VR headsets can create a calming experience for patients, potentially reducing their anxiety, the amount of anesthesia needed, and overall recovery time.
To participate in this trial, you must be at least 18 years old, have a scheduled outpatient digestive endoscopy, and be covered by the French social security system. Unfortunately, individuals with a history of epilepsy or claustrophobia cannot participate. If you join, you can expect to wear a VR headset during your procedure, which aims to make the experience more relaxing. This study is not yet recruiting participants, but it could help improve the way endoscopy is conducted in the future.
