ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is looking at the effects of a technique called Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT) on women who are having a cesarean section (C-section). Specifically, the study aims to see if using EFT before the surgery can help reduce feelings of anxiety, improve feelings of safety, and lessen pain after the operation. The trial will involve 60 first-time mothers who have been scheduled for a C-section and are expected to experience moderate to severe pain afterward.
To participate, women need to be at least primary school graduates, be having their first baby, and have a planned C-section. Unfortunately, those with certain health issues, like heart disease, high blood pressure, diabetes, or any mental health conditions within the last year, will not be eligible. Participants will be randomly placed into either the group receiving EFT or a control group that does not. This trial is currently not recruiting participants, but it aims to provide valuable insights into managing pain and anxiety for new mothers after surgery.
