ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is looking at how heart function before and after surgery can affect the risk of developing irregular heartbeats, known as arrhythmias, after surgery. Researchers will use special heart imaging tests (echocardiograms) to measure heart function in patients who are going to have heart surgery. By examining these images and other related factors, they hope to understand better how to predict and manage arrhythmias after surgery.
To participate in this study, you need to be between the ages of 65 and 74 and scheduled for heart surgery. However, if you already have an irregular heartbeat before the surgery, you won't be able to join this trial. Once you’re part of the study, you can expect to have your heart function closely monitored before and after your surgery to help gather important information that could improve care for future patients.
