ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is focused on studying a procedure called bilateral peribulbar block, which is a type of anesthesia used during cataract surgery. The goal of the study is to find out if this method is safe and effective for patients undergoing this common eye operation. The trial is not yet recruiting participants, but it is looking for people aged 18 and older who are scheduled for cataract surgery and are in good health according to specific guidelines.
To participate in the trial, individuals must meet certain criteria, such as having no infections at the surgery site, no allergies to the medications used, and no serious eye or heart conditions. Participants can expect to receive the peribulbar block to help numb the area around their eyes during the surgery, which can make the experience more comfortable. It's important to know that the study aims to gather information that could help improve cataract surgery procedures in the future.
