ClinConnect Summary
The EUmetriosis clinical trial is focused on understanding endometriosis, a condition where tissue similar to the lining inside the uterus grows outside of it. Researchers are looking at changes in certain molecules found in menstrual fluid and blood from women who have endometriosis. The goal is to find new, non-invasive ways to diagnose the disease, meaning tests that don’t require surgery or complicated procedures.
To be eligible to participate, women must be premenopausal, meaning they haven’t gone through menopause yet, and should not have been on hormonal treatments for at least three months. They should be either healthy or have a clear diagnosis of endometriosis confirmed by ultrasound, MRI, or laparoscopy (a type of surgery). Participants will likely be asked to provide samples of menstrual fluid and blood, helping researchers gather important information without any invasive procedures. This study is currently recruiting participants, so if you or someone you know fits the criteria and is interested, it could be a great opportunity to contribute to new advancements in diagnosing endometriosis.
