ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying how cervical radiculopathy, a condition that affects the nerves in the neck, impacts the recovery and quality of life of patients who have had surgery to repair a rotator cuff tear in the shoulder. The researchers want to compare two groups of patients: those who have cervical radiculopathy and those who do not, to see how this condition affects their ability to function after surgery.
To participate in the study, patients need to be under 65 years old and have undergone rotator cuff repair. However, those who have had other shoulder surgeries, cervical spine surgery, or have certain health issues like neurological disorders or cancer are not eligible. If you join the trial, you can expect to help researchers understand how these different conditions affect recovery, which could lead to better care for future patients. The study is currently recruiting participants at Kartal Dr. Lütfi Kırdar City Hospital, so there's an opportunity to contribute to important medical research.
