ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying two different types of nerve blocks, called the Pectoral Nerve Block (PECS II) and the Serratus Posterior Superior Intercostal Plane Block (SPSIP), to see which one is better at managing pain for women undergoing surgery for breast cancer. The main goal is to find out how much pain medication patients need in the first 24 hours after surgery. They will also look at other factors like how much pain patients feel, how quickly the procedure can be done, and any side effects that might occur.
To be eligible for this study, participants need to be women aged 18 to 65 who are having surgery for breast cancer and meet certain health guidelines. This includes having a body mass index (BMI) of less than 35 and not having serious health issues like significant organ failure. If someone decides to join, they can expect to be monitored closely for their pain levels and any possible side effects after the surgery. This trial is not yet recruiting, but it aims to help improve pain management for women facing this type of surgery in the future.
