ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying whether watching a video about the injection procedure can help improve the experience for patients receiving treatment for eye conditions like Age-Related Macular Degeneration and Diabetic Retinopathy. The researchers want to find out if the video can reduce anxiety and make patients feel more comfortable, as well as if it can lessen the occurrence of bruising in the eye after the injection. Participants will be randomly divided into two groups: one group will watch the video before their treatment, while the other group will not. Everyone will answer a simple questionnaire about their anxiety levels before and after the procedure.
To be eligible for this study, participants must be receiving their first injection of a specific eye medication and be mentally competent to give consent. They should not have had previous eye surgery or certain eye conditions that could complicate the treatment. If you or a family member are considering joining this trial, you can expect a supportive environment where the goal is to make the injection process as easy and stress-free as possible.
