ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is looking at a condition called hydrocephalus, which is when there is too much fluid in the brain, and its possible link to another condition known as endolymphatic hydrops, which affects the inner ear. The goal is to find out how common endolymphatic hydrops is among people with hydrocephalus and to examine how well they can hear. The study will involve both men and women aged 20 to 60 who have been diagnosed with hydrocephalus.
To participate in the trial, individuals must be diagnosed with hydrocephalus by the neurosurgery department at the hospital. However, people with certain conditions, such as ear diseases, diabetes, high blood pressure, or a history of hearing problems, will not be eligible to join. If you qualify, you can expect to be part of a study that aims to better understand how hydrocephalus might affect hearing and related ear conditions, helping to improve care for patients in the future.
