ClinConnect Summary

This clinical trial is studying new tests called KL-6 and Calprotectin to see if they can help doctors diagnose lung disease in patients who have rheumatoid arthritis (RA). Interstitial lung disease (ILD) is a condition that can affect the lungs of people with RA, and this trial aims to find out if these new biomarkers can make it easier to identify those who might be suffering from ILD.

To participate in this trial, you would need to be over 18 years old and have a confirmed diagnosis of rheumatoid arthritis. However, patients who have had a serious worsening of their RA in the last six months, those with certain cancers, or individuals who have previously undergone radiation treatment or have severe organ failure will not be eligible. If you join the study, you will be helping researchers learn more about these potential new tests, which could lead to better care for people with rheumatoid arthritis and lung disease in the future. The trial is not yet recruiting participants, so you will need to check back later for updates on when it begins.
