ClinConnect Summary

This clinical trial is investigating the mental health challenges that pregnant women with high blood sugar levels, known as hyperglycemia, may face. Researchers want to understand what factors might increase the risk of these mental health issues during pregnancy. The study will include women aged 18 to 45 who are currently pregnant and have been diagnosed with gestational diabetes, which is a type of diabetes that can occur during pregnancy. Participants will be asked to fill out a self-report questionnaire to share their experiences.

To qualify for the study, women must be between 28 and 37 weeks pregnant and able to communicate effectively. However, women with multiple pregnancies, certain other health problems, a history of mental illness, or those taking specific medications will not be eligible. While the trial is not yet recruiting participants, it aims to shed light on how high blood sugar during pregnancy may affect mental well-being, helping to improve care for moms-to-be in the future.
