ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is looking at a new way to care for patients after total knee replacement surgery, specifically for those suffering from knee osteoarthritis. Instead of having regular in-person check-ups at the hospital, some patients will use a remote monitoring system. This means they can answer questions about their recovery online and will only visit the hospital if needed. Researchers want to see if this method is just as effective, safe, and satisfying for patients as traditional face-to-face appointments.
To be eligible for the trial, participants need to be at least 50 years old and scheduled for a total knee replacement due to knee osteoarthritis. However, those with certain serious health issues or previous knee surgeries may not qualify. During the study, participants will answer questions online at several points after their surgery, allowing researchers to track their recovery and overall health. The trial aims to help improve post-surgery care and could change how patients are monitored in the future.
