ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying the effects of virtual reality (VR) hand exercises on brain function and hand skills in older adults with mild cognitive impairment (MCI). Researchers want to see if these fun, interactive exercises can help improve thinking abilities and hand dexterity. Participants will be divided into two groups: one will do VR exercises, like cooking and completing puzzles in a virtual kitchen, while the other group will perform traditional hand exercises. The study will include 30 older adults, aged 65 to 75, who have been diagnosed with MCI.
If you or someone you know is interested in participating, they will need to be able to follow simple instructions and not have any serious conditions that could affect their thinking or ability to use their hands, like severe arthritis or certain neurological diseases. Participants will have assessments done before and after the six-week program to measure any changes. The study will take place in Istanbul, and all participants will provide written consent before joining, ensuring their understanding of the trial. This is a great opportunity for eligible individuals to engage in a unique rehabilitation program that could benefit their cognitive and hand function.
