ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is looking at a new way to perform a procedure called bronchoscopy, which helps doctors examine the lungs and take small samples for testing. The researchers want to see if using a special robot to assist with this procedure is effective when patients are given moderate sedation using a medication called Propofol. This trial is a small pilot study, meaning it’s an early test to gather information before conducting a larger study.
To participate in this trial, individuals must be at least 18 years old and scheduled for a bronchoscopy with moderate sedation. They should also be able to give their consent to participate and meet certain health criteria. However, some people may not be eligible, such as those with specific lung problems, severe heart or lung diseases, or those who are pregnant or breastfeeding. If eligible, participants can expect to receive sedation to help them relax during the procedure, which will be done using robotic assistance. The aim is to see how well this new technique works and if it can be a good option for future patients.
