ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is looking at two different methods—hilotherapy and kinesio taping—to help patients recover after a specific type of jaw surgery called bimaxillary orthognathic surgery. This surgery can lead to swelling, pain, and difficulty opening the mouth, known as trismus. The trial aims to see which method works better in reducing these issues after surgery.
To participate in this study, you need to be between 18 and 50 years old and scheduled for this type of surgery. It's important that you don’t have any serious medical conditions and that you can attend follow-up appointments. If you decide to join, you will be randomly assigned to one of the two treatment groups. You will be closely monitored during your recovery to see how well each method helps with swelling and pain. This trial is currently recruiting participants and your involvement could contribute valuable information to improve recovery experiences for future patients.
