ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying a new surgical method called transvaginal diverticular wall filling and covering, which is designed to treat a condition known as circumferential urethral diverticulum in women. This condition can cause various urinary problems and may lead to complications after surgery, such as forming abnormal connections between organs (fistulas) or stress urinary incontinence (leaking urine when you cough or exercise). The researchers want to find out if this new technique is safe and effective in reducing these risks, improving urinary symptoms, and enhancing sexual function.
Women aged 27 to 74 who have been diagnosed with circumferential urethral diverticulum and have complete medical records may be eligible to participate. They will undergo the surgery and then have regular follow-up visits to monitor their symptoms and quality of life. Participants will also fill out questionnaires about their urinary and sexual health. It's important to note that women with certain conditions, such as uterine prolapse or abnormal bleeding disorders, will not be able to join the trial. The study is not yet recruiting participants but aims to provide valuable information on this innovative treatment approach.
