ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying mental health challenges that women may face during pregnancy and shortly after giving birth, a time known as the perinatal period. Researchers want to better understand mood episodes, including not just depression but also symptoms like feeling overly energetic, having trouble sleeping, and being easily irritated. By focusing on these symptoms, the study aims to improve how healthcare providers diagnose and treat women experiencing these mood changes, which can often be complicated and go unnoticed.
To participate in this trial, you need to be a woman over 18 years old who is currently pregnant or has given birth within the last year. You should also be having your first psychiatric consultation related to this pregnancy and be comfortable speaking French. Participants will be involved in routine clinical care, and those who join will help contribute valuable information to enhance support for new mothers facing these challenges. It's important to note that women who gave birth more than a year ago, are currently under psychiatric care, or are under court protection are not eligible for this study.
