ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is looking to understand how different ways of thinking about our emotions can help reduce feelings of sadness and anxiety in young adults. Researchers want to find out which strategies—called reconstrual (changing how we think about a situation) and repurposing (finding new meanings for our feelings)—are most effective. They will also see if these strategies work better for anxiety compared to sadness and if they can help improve positive feelings like hope and happiness.
To participate, you need to be between 18 and 30 years old, speak Turkish, and not currently be receiving treatment for mental health issues. If you join the study, you'll be randomly placed into one of several groups to try out different emotion regulation strategies and then complete some online tasks and surveys about how you're feeling. The trial is not yet recruiting participants, so there's still time to consider if this is something that interests you.
