ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is looking at a new technique for dental implant placement in patients who have lost bone in the back of their lower jaw (the mandible). Specifically, the study will evaluate the use of a special material called "sticky bone" to see if it helps speed up recovery of the nerve that runs along the jaw after a surgical procedure called inferior alveolar nerve lateralization. This procedure is often necessary when there isn’t enough bone for placing implants, which can make getting dental implants more complicated.
To be eligible for this trial, participants must be adults who need dental implants in an area of their jaw where there is less than 8 mm of bone above the nerve. They should not have any health issues that could interfere with healing, like certain bone diseases or neurological disorders. The trial is not yet recruiting participants, but those who join can expect to receive innovative treatment aimed at improving the success and recovery time related to dental implants. If you or a loved one meet these criteria and are interested in participating, this study could offer a new option for restoring dental health.
