ClinConnect Summary
The CardioHeartConnect trial is studying a new way to help patients recover after a heart procedure called transcatheter aortic valve replacement (TAVR). This eight-week program uses Peloton fitness videos to encourage physical activity and improve heart health, compared to a standard educational program. The goal is to see if this engaging approach can make patients feel better, increase their fitness levels, and enhance their overall quality of life. The study will involve 200 patients from a heart clinic, who will be randomly assigned to either the CardioHeartConnect program or the educational control group. Researchers will check in with participants at the start, after eight weeks, and again after a year to track their progress.
To join the trial, participants need to be living in the United States, able to speak and understand English, and suitable for cardiac rehabilitation as determined by the heart clinic’s team. They should be able to stand with or without support and have access to a device to view the Peloton content. This study is not yet recruiting participants, but it aims to provide valuable insights into how technology can support heart recovery.
