ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is focusing on improving children's oral health in Al Lith City, Saudi Arabia. Specifically, it aims to help children aged 10 to 11 years learn more about taking care of their teeth and gums, which is important for preventing cavities (also known as dental caries). The study involves fun and interactive classroom sessions led by a dental professional, where children will learn about good hygiene practices and healthy eating habits. Additionally, they will receive materials to take home, making it easier for them to apply what they've learned. Researchers will check how much the children's knowledge, attitudes, and behaviors change before the program starts, right after it ends, and again six months later.
To participate in this trial, boys who are in primary school and between the ages of 10 and 11 can join if they have permission from at least one parent. However, children who are sick at the time of the study or who are absent will not be able to take part. The researchers expect that by providing this education in schools, children will become better at taking care of their teeth, which should lead to healthier smiles and improved overall well-being.
