ClinConnect Summary

This clinical trial is investigating whether hydrogen water, a supplement that can be bought over the counter, helps reduce fatigue and improve daily functioning in adults with myalgic encephalomyelitis/chronic fatigue syndrome (ME/CFS). The trial also aims to find out if a measurement called heart rate variability (HRV) can help predict which patients might benefit from drinking hydrogen water. The researchers are looking for participants aged between 18 and 75 who meet specific criteria for ME/CFS, and who do not have other medical conditions that could explain their fatigue.

If you choose to participate in this study, you will be helping to determine if hydrogen water is an effective treatment for ME/CFS symptoms. Participants will be recruited for the trial, and those who qualify will be asked to follow certain guidelines during the study period. This research is important because it could lead to new ways to help manage fatigue for people living with this challenging condition.
