ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is looking at how promoting better sleep can help people staying in a psychiatric hospital. The researchers want to see if encouraging good sleep habits is more effective than standard treatments for improving sleep, reducing feelings of depression and anxiety, and lowering the risk of suicidal thoughts during a patient's stay. They will also gather feedback from patients and staff about how well the sleep promotion methods work.
To join this study, individuals must be voluntarily admitted to the hospital for having thoughts of suicide and should show a continued risk for suicide when evaluated. They also need to have good cognitive abilities and be able to speak and understand English well enough to consent to participate. Participants can expect to engage in activities aimed at improving their sleep and share their experiences throughout the trial. It's important to note that those under close supervision for safety reasons or those with certain types of disabilities won't be able to participate.
