ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying how remote nursing support can help people with dementia and their family caregivers. The goal is to see if these nursing interventions, based on a model that focuses on empowering caregivers, can improve the well-being of both the caregivers and the dementia patients. The study will take place at the Alzheimer’s Social Life Center in Ankara from June to December 2025 and will involve 60 participants—30 caregivers receiving the new support and 30 caregivers continuing with standard services. Throughout a 10-week period, those in the intervention group will use a special website called "Take Care of Yourself" for assistance.
To participate, caregivers must be at least 18 years old, literate, able to use the internet, and care for a relative diagnosed with early-stage Alzheimer’s disease. Participants will fill out several questionnaires before and after the 10-week program to measure any changes in their situation. After analyzing the feedback from both groups, the researchers will also conduct interviews to gain deeper insights into their experiences. This study aims to provide valuable information on how to better support caregivers of individuals with dementia.
