ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is exploring whether connecting people with Recovery Community Centers (RCCs) can improve recovery outcomes for those using medications to treat opioid use disorder (OUD). The study aims to learn if it’s possible to recruit participants easily and if those who engage with RCCs may have better recovery experiences compared to those receiving regular treatment. Participants will be divided into two groups: one will visit their local RCC and share their experiences, while the other will choose two recovery activities to complete on their own and also write about their experiences. Over the course of a year, both groups will complete online surveys to track their recovery progress and overall well-being.
To be eligible for this trial, participants must be at least 18 years old and currently using medications for opioid use disorder, receiving treatment from a clinic or pharmacy within 15 miles of a vetted RCC that serves a Black community. Participants should be willing to engage in online surveys and be open to being assigned to one of the two groups. However, if someone has visited a RCC in the last three months, they won’t be able to participate. This study is currently not yet recruiting participants, but it aims to gather important information that could guide future research on recovery support for individuals facing opioid use challenges.
