ClinConnect Summary
The HealthyW8 Project is a clinical trial designed to help prevent and control obesity in different age groups, including young children, young adults, and seniors. The main goal of the study is to see how effective a digital tool can be in encouraging healthier lifestyles, such as better eating habits, more physical activity, and improved sleep. Participants will receive personalized recommendations through their smartphones, which will guide them on how to make healthier choices over a period of three months or one year. Researchers will measure changes in body weight and health markers to see if the intervention helps reduce the risk of being overweight or obese.
To take part in the study, individuals must be overweight, which means having a body mass index (BMI) between 25 and 30, and they need to have a smartphone. Unfortunately, people with serious chronic illnesses or those who cannot live independently will not be eligible to join. Overall, participants can expect to engage in a supportive program that offers practical advice and encouragement to help them lead healthier lives while contributing to important research on obesity prevention.
