ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is looking at whether a special video program can help improve cervical cancer screening rates among Black women who haven’t had their screenings in a while. The researchers want to see if using an interactive video, along with personal support from a navigator, will encourage more women to get screened compared to just watching a standard educational video. They aim to find out if this tailored support can increase knowledge about cervical cancer, reduce barriers to getting screened, and motivate women to make appointments.
To participate in this study, you need to be a Black or African American woman aged 21 to 65 who hasn’t had a Pap test in the last three years or HPV test in the last five years. You also should not be pregnant, have had a hysterectomy, and must have access to a mobile phone that can receive texts and play videos. If you join, you'll complete two phone surveys—one at the start and another six months later—and you’ll either receive the interactive video program with in-person support or just the standard educational video. After six months, researchers will check your clinic records to see if you completed your cervical cancer screening.
