ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is focused on screening for pancreas cancer in people who are at a higher risk of developing the disease. Pancreas cancer is serious because it is often found too late for successful treatment. The study will look at individuals who have specific risk factors, such as a family history of pancreas cancer, certain genetic mutations, pancreas cysts, or new diabetes. By enrolling participants with these risk factors, the researchers aim to follow guidelines for regular screening, which includes blood tests and yearly imaging of the pancreas.
To join the study, participants should be between 65 and 74 years old and have at least one of the risk factors mentioned. They will work with healthcare professionals to monitor their health and receive regular tests to catch any potential problems early. This trial is not yet recruiting participants, but it aims to collect important information on the effectiveness of pancreas screening and how it impacts patients’ health and wellbeing. If you or a loved one fits the eligibility criteria, this study could provide valuable insight into managing pancreas cancer risk.
