ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying how blood vessels are affected in patients with systemic sclerosis, a condition that can cause hardening and tightening of the skin and connective tissues. Researchers will use a special type of ultrasound called Color Doppler Ultrasonography to look at the blood flow in certain arteries in the arms and abdomen. This study aims to understand more about the vascular (blood vessel) involvement in people with systemic sclerosis.
To participate, you need to be an adult who has been diagnosed with systemic sclerosis according to specific medical guidelines. Unfortunately, if you have other autoimmune diseases like rheumatoid arthritis or dermatomyositis, you won't be eligible to join. If you decide to participate, you'll undergo ultrasound evaluations, which are painless and non-invasive, allowing researchers to gather important information about how your condition affects your blood vessels. The study is currently recruiting participants, and everyone, regardless of gender, is welcome to apply.
