ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is exploring how kinesiology taping (KT) can help improve breathing, sleep, and overall quality of life for individuals dealing with obesity. Obesity can cause various health problems, including issues with breathing and sleep quality. The study aims to see if applying specialized tape to the chest area can enhance respiratory function and help reduce symptoms like shortness of breath, while also potentially improving sleep and cognitive functions.
To be eligible for this study, participants should be between 18 and 70 years old, classified as overweight or having class 1 or class 2 obesity, and be able to understand and follow instructions in Turkish. Those with serious lung diseases, uncontrolled chronic illnesses, or allergies to kinesiology tape cannot participate. If you join the trial, you can expect to receive kinesiology taping and be monitored for changes in your breathing, sleep quality, and overall health. This research could lead to new ways to support individuals with obesity in improving their health and well-being.
