ClinConnect Summary

This clinical trial is studying the effectiveness of a special type of laser treatment, called diode laser therapy, for patients with periodontitis, a serious gum disease. The researchers want to see how this laser therapy, when combined with standard periodontal treatment, can improve the health of the gums and reduce inflammation. They will also check how this treatment affects certain substances in the gums before and after the therapy.

To participate in this study, individuals need to be between 25 and 58 years old and have generalized periodontitis, which means their gums are significantly inflamed and bleeding. They should have at least 20 natural teeth. However, some people won't be eligible, such as smokers, pregnant or breastfeeding women, those taking certain medications, or anyone who has had recent dental treatments. If you qualify and choose to participate, you will receive additional care for your gum disease and help contribute valuable information to improve treatments for others in the future.
