ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is looking at a new system called TASHA that helps monitor diabetic foot ulcers, which are sores that can develop on the feet of people with diabetes. The main goal is to see if this remote monitoring platform can provide accurate information about the ulcers, such as their size and depth, that matches what healthcare professionals assess in person. Additionally, the study aims to find out if patients can successfully scan their own ulcers with some guidance from clinic staff.
To participate, individuals must be at least 18 years old and diagnosed with a diabetic foot ulcer while receiving care at a specific NHS clinic. Participants will have a standard in-clinic assessment and then use the TASHA system for a 3D scan of their foot, with help from the clinic staff to perform a self-scan. The data collected will be compared to the in-clinic evaluations done by healthcare professionals. This study is a small-scale pilot that will help shape future, larger trials and help in developing the TASHA platform as a digital medical tool.
