ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying how Virtual Reality (VR) can help reduce anxiety for patients undergoing fertility-related surgical procedures. Many people experience anxiety during these treatments, which can make the experience more stressful and uncomfortable. The researchers want to see if using VR for mindfulness and meditation can improve the overall experience, lessen anxiety before surgery, and potentially ease pain and recovery afterwards. Participants will be randomly assigned to either receive standard care or the VR intervention, and the study will look at how these approaches affect anxiety levels, pain, recovery time, and patient satisfaction.
To be eligible for this trial, participants must be between 18 and 50 years old and scheduled for a fertility-related surgery. They also need to be able to understand and agree to participate in the study. However, individuals with a history of motion sickness from VR or certain cognitive or psychological conditions will not be included. This trial is not yet recruiting participants, but it aims to offer a new and effective way to manage anxiety in fertility care, making the experience better for patients.
