ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying how the time it takes for patients with spinal cord injuries to be admitted to a specialized rehabilitation unit affects their recovery and the complications they may experience. Specifically, researchers want to understand if longer wait times before getting specialized care can lead to more issues like pressure ulcers (sores that develop from prolonged pressure on the skin), as well as impact a patient’s neurological recovery and the length of their hospital stay.
To participate in this study, patients must be 18 years or older and have experienced a spinal cord injury. The trial is open to both men and women. Participants will be monitored for complications when they arrive at the rehabilitation unit, and researchers will track how long they waited for admission and how this affects their recovery. This study aims to gather important information that could help improve care for patients with spinal cord injuries in the future.
