ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is looking at how strengthening the quadriceps muscle, which is located at the front of the thigh, can help improve knee function and movement in young people who have undergone surgery for an injury to the anterior cruciate ligament (ACL). The study aims to find out if focusing on exercises for this muscle can lead to better recovery after ACL reconstruction surgery.
To participate in this trial, individuals must be between the ages of 12 and 18 and should not have any previous injuries or surgeries on the opposite knee. This means that if someone has hurt or had surgery on both knees, or if they have had other knee ligament injuries, they would not be eligible. Participants in the study can expect to take part in specific exercises designed to strengthen their quadriceps and help improve their overall knee function after surgery. It's important to note that this trial is not yet recruiting participants, so interested individuals will need to wait for further announcements to join.
