ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is looking at how new digital technologies can help plan dental treatments for patients who need a single crown, which is a type of dental restoration. Specifically, it will explore the use of facial scans and a special type of 3D imaging called cone beam computed tomography (CBCT) to improve the planning process. Patients will have some initial scans and photos taken, and then they will see a mock-up of what their smile could look like before starting the actual treatment. After each mock-up, patients will share their thoughts on how comfortable and attractive they feel about the changes.
To be eligible for this trial, patients must need a crown for a tooth that has a matching tooth in the opposite jaw (to test the bite). Those without a matching tooth, individuals who are missing all their teeth, or anyone who cannot understand or give consent will not be included. Throughout the trial, patients will see how these digital tools may enhance their overall experience and satisfaction with their dental treatment.
