ClinConnect Summary

This clinical trial is designed to study how different types of watermelon affect blood sugar levels in healthy adults. Researchers will look at the glycemic index (GI) and glycemic load (GL) of these watermelons, which are measurements that show how quickly and how much a food can raise blood sugar. To do this, participants will eat different watermelon types and then have their blood sugar levels checked against a standard reference food, which is glucose.

To participate in this study, individuals must be healthy adults, aged 18 to 65, with a body mass index (BMI) between 18.5 and 24.9, and should not have any history of diabetes or metabolic disorders. They also should not be taking medications that affect how the body processes glucose. Participants can expect to enjoy tasting various watermelons and then provide blood samples to measure their glucose responses. It's important to note that this study is not yet recruiting participants, so there will be more information available later for those interested in taking part.
