ClinConnect Summary
The HUGS-QUALI study is looking to understand the experiences of mothers who took part in special therapy groups designed to help with postpartum depression (PPD). This study happens 6 to 12 months after the mothers have completed the HUGS mother-baby groups, where they learned how to connect better with their babies while dealing with PPD. Researchers will conduct in-depth interviews to gather personal stories and insights on how this therapy has impacted their relationships with their infants and their everyday lives.
To be part of this study, mothers need to have completed the HUGS program at specific hospitals in Toulouse and Bordeaux. The study is open to all women who participated in the HUGS groups, but those who choose not to participate or did not join the program are not eligible. Participants can expect to share their experiences in a supportive setting, helping researchers learn more about the effectiveness of this culturally adapted therapy for improving mother-infant interactions.
