ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying the effects of a new online program called iWork.COMP, which aims to help healthcare professionals cope with the negative impacts of toxic leadership styles in their workplaces. Toxic leadership can lead to feelings of anxiety, depression, and burnout, which are unfortunately common among healthcare workers. The program uses a type of therapy called Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT) to promote a healthier work environment by encouraging compassion and positive relationships among colleagues.
To participate in this trial, you need to be a healthcare worker, such as a doctor or nurse, who is over 18 years old and currently works in the surgical department of a healthcare facility in Portugal. The study will involve 200 participants who will be randomly assigned to either the treatment group, receiving the iWork.COMP program, or a waiting-list control group. If you join, you can expect to engage with the program online and hopefully experience a reduction in stress and burnout while enhancing your overall wellbeing and motivation to support your coworkers compassionately. This trial is not yet recruiting, but it aims to gather important information on how to create healthier work environments in healthcare settings.
