ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is looking to improve how healthcare providers identify the seventh cervical vertebra, which is a bone in the neck, by using a method called palpation. This involves feeling for the bone while the patient rotates their neck and bends it to the side. The goal is to see how accurate this method is in patients who have neck pain.
To participate in this study, you should be between 18 and 60 years old and experiencing neck pain. However, if you have certain conditions like suspected ankylosing spondylitis (a type of arthritis that affects the spine), have had previous surgery on your neck, or have any congenital (present at birth) malformations of the cervical area, you won’t be eligible. If you join the trial, you will help researchers understand the effectiveness of this technique, which could lead to better assessments and treatments for neck pain in the future. The trial is currently recruiting participants, regardless of gender.
