ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is looking at how the distribution of body fat affects the way our airways function and how well we breathe, specifically in healthy adults. Researchers will use various imaging techniques, like Electrical Impedance Tomography (EIT) and computed tomography (CT), to see how different body weights and shapes can influence breathing, especially when lying down in different positions. The goal is to learn more about how body fat impacts lung health.
To participate in this study, volunteers need to be between 18 and 80 years old and generally healthy. Unfortunately, those with heart or lung diseases, or a history of smoking, won't be eligible. If you join the study, you will spend about two hours undergoing noninvasive tests that are designed to monitor your lung function. It’s important to note that the study is not recruiting participants yet, but it will be open to individuals of all genders.
