ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying how an early pulmonary rehabilitation program can help elderly patients, aged 65 and older, who are experiencing a worsening of their chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). The goal is to see if this program can improve their ability to exercise, reduce feelings of breathlessness, enhance sleep quality, lessen fatigue, and potentially allow them to leave the hospital sooner.
To participate in the study, patients must be over 65 years old and have been diagnosed with worsening COPD symptoms that are not related to heart problems or other serious conditions. Those with very low blood pressure or certain unstable health issues won't be eligible. While the trial is not yet recruiting participants, it offers a promising opportunity for elderly patients struggling with COPD to potentially improve their health and recovery experience while in the hospital.
