ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying a new approach to prostate surgery for men with benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH), which is a common condition that causes an enlarged prostate. The researchers want to see if a new tool, called a "single working element," can safely and effectively help with the surgery. This study is an important first step to ensure that the new technique is both safe and practical before testing it more widely in larger trials.
To be eligible for the trial, participants must be men aged 18 and older who have been diagnosed with BPH and need surgery for it. They should have a prostate size of at least 40 cc and must not have a history of prostate cancer. However, those with urinary tract infections, prior prostate surgeries, blood clotting issues, or certain anatomical problems are not eligible. If you join the study, you can expect to be closely monitored during the procedure to assess how well the new tool works and to ensure your safety throughout the process.
